The Bottling Plant was completed in 1935. Until 1970, four varieties of
water were bottled here. They were Geyser, Hathorn, Coesa and State Seal.
Geyser mineral water was sold as an aid in digestion and to stimulate appetite.
Hathorn mineral water was used as a laxative. Coesa mineral water was drunk
as a laxative and an effective antacid. State Seal was bottled as a non-carbonated,
sweet spring water.
The State Seal spring continues to one of the park’s most popular spots as 100’s of visitors fill their own containers daily in its own new pavilion, directly across the avenue from the Bottling Plant. The new Joseph L. Bruno Pavilion opened in May 2002 to ease the congestion with easy drive through access and additional spigots that run continually.
The Bottling Plant now houses the Saratoga Automobile
Museum.
