The arcades were also used for exercise by the patrons. These arcades offered protection from all kinds of weather, including shade in the summer.
Named after the famed hydrotherapist, Simon Baruch (Ba - rook) the building
housed the doctors' offices, research center, and a complete wet chemistry
lab for water analysis and administrative offices. The facility was a serious
research establishment. This building currently houses the administrative
offices for the Saratoga/Capital District Region of New York State Parks.
